Discover the missing piece to living pain-free

Your body is constantly adapting to the way you live.

Stress, prolonged sitting, training hard, repetitive movement, old injuries, shallow breathing and everyday habits all influence how your body feels and moves.

Over time, you may notice more:

  • pain, aches and tension

  • stiffness and restriction, or

  • you find that everyday movements require more effort than they used to.

This workshop is a hands-on introduction to working with your fascia: the connective tissue that wraps every muscle, joint and organ in your body, and shapes how you move, breathe and hold yourself.

In 90 minutes, you’ll get a first taste of Block Therapy, Human Garage Fascial Maneuvers, and breath-led movement, and leave with practical techniques you can start using straight away.

It’s not about forcing, stretching or fixing everything in one session. It’s about understanding why your body has become the way it is, and experiencing what it feels like to work with it instead of against it, so you can start listening to what your body is actually asking for, and tend to those needs.

Who this workshop is for

It’s a perfect match if you:

🔹 Regularly feel stiff, tight or restricted

🔹 Have noticed that your body isn’t moving quite as freely as it used to

🔹 Want a way to support recovery alongside your training and exercise

🔹 Carry tension through your neck, shoulders, back, hips or legs

🔹 Spend a lot of time either sitting, training hard, or doing repetitive movement

🔹 Are curious about fascia and want to understand your body better

🔹 Want a more effective recovery approach to balance your exercise

🔹 Prefer a more natural and intuitive approach, rather than pushing, stretching or forcing

🔹 Want to support your mobility and wellbeing as you get older

You're in Good Company

Every session brings a different mix of people, each here for their own reason. The mum snatching 90 minutes for herself between school drop-off and the next load of washing. The desk-bound professional whose shoulders have lived somewhere near her ears since Monday. The weekend athlete looking for a smarter way to recover between sessions. The woman who’s quietly noticed her body doesn’t move the way it used to, and wants to do something about it before it becomes a bigger problem.

Different starting points, same room, same simple techniques, and the same sense of relief by the end.

Here’s what one attendee, a young mum juggling it all, had to say after her first workshop

About your Facilitator

Julia McDonald is a fascia and movement educator helping women feel more at home in their bodies through midlife and beyond.

Drawing on her own recovery from nearly 20 years of chronic pain and fatigue, and her training as a Certified Block Therapy Instructor, and student of Human Garage Fascial Manoeuvre Coaching Program, Julia takes a whole-body approach to fascia, movement, breath and everyday habits.

In her classes you’ll release built-up tension you can genuinely feel, and discover why pain in one place so often starts somewhere else. Then Julia shows you how to weave small changes into your day, little and often, so the benefits carry through long after class ends.

She works with students on the Sunshine Coast + worldwide Online.
